Recap

Eldon had the following to say about his first experience at New York Comic Con:

"Okay, so it's not quite as large as the Comic-Con I'm accustomed to in San Diego. And the weather isn't nearly as nice. But the organizers still know how to put on a show. For instance, when I did my signing, it was alongside Amber Benson ("Tara" from television's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), Lou Ferrigno ("The Incredible Hulk"), and Peter Mayhew ("Chewbacca"). I felt a little inadequate, actually, being the only one of them who hasn't been immortalized as an action figure. Still, pretty good company, eh?

I spent the majority of my time away from the convention, touring NY with a lovely gal who was visiting the city for the first time. But I did get a chance to hang with several industry friends, and met a number of new ones, while attending panels and, later on, crashing a Random House party. (Yes, that's a rival publishing company, but I go where I'm invited.) Thanks to Shawn and Camille for being so welcoming, to the wonderful folks at Eos (Pam, Diana, Emily, and others) for working so hard to include me at the last minute, and to everyone else who made my trip enjoyable. Maybe we can do it again next year?"
