If you can't hook them with the very first page of your manuscript, there's a good chance they won't make it to page two. Come practice the tips and tricks for making the first page of your story sizzle.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 Screenplay Structure To write for Hollywood, it is imperative to understand traditional story structure. It's a restrictive writing form, and even if you mean to break the rules, you'd better be able to explain where and why you did so. On the bright side, knowing this structure can actually be a great help to writers in outlining their stories. If you intend to write a feature-length screenplay, or have ever had difficulty plotting your novel, come learn the basic blueprint for maximizing your story's emotional impact.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7 All Fiction Group Read & Critique Attendees should bring their working manuscripts to class. The instructor will facilitate the opportunity for up to the first 20 students in class to read a portion of their work and receive feedback.
